Turn your town into a ‘Fair Trade Town’. By March 2005 there were 100 in the UK – the FairTrade Foundation has all the information.

Talk to your local shopkeeper – find out their name and what they do when they’re not behind the counter! See what ethical / fair-trade / environmentally-friendly products they stock, and encourage them by buying what they have, and suggesting where they could improve!
